Fire marshals and emergency managers

For the people who respond.

If you are a fire marshal, a fire chief, or a county emergency manager, this page is for you. You are a partner in the record. You are not a list we are trying to sell to.

Training at no cost to your department

When an operator uses BESSReady Train, the offer to local first responders is annual training at no cost to the responders. That includes the battery technology on the site, hazards, how responders protect themselves, the emergency plan, and an on-site review of the perimeter, major equipment, and ways in and out.

The operator provides the training. BESSReady keeps the record of the offer and who attended. A sign-in sheet in the software does not, by itself, finish the operator's duty.

If an operator already invited you

Sign in at app.bessready.com, or at the portal address they sent, which looks like their name followed by .bessready.com. If the invitation is missing or the plan in the portal is not the plan you were given, tell us. Use the form and choose the fire marshal role.

What a package should contain

The current plan

The site-specific emergency operations plan, in the version the operator says you have.

The training record

Who was offered training, who attended, and when the on-site review happened.

The inspection file

The materials an independent five-year review is built from, bookmarked, not dumped in a zip file.

What this software is not

  • It is not a certification of the site, and it is not an approval from your office.
  • It does not replace your review, or the judgment of a licensed engineer.
  • You do not have to buy it to do your job. If an operator uses it, the package should be easier to read. If they do not, your process is unchanged.
